Week 19: Hawaii. Aloha, Beaches! Zaful Swimwear Review.

Dear readers, I apologise for not updating Pastiche.Today this past week. I am currently on my vacation the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii and I am predictably busy :)

I will try to keep you updated on Instagram, but I am very excited to finally share my swimwear photoshoots and travel tips on the blog. Ben is a really wonderful and supporting man and even though he doesn't always enjoy taking pictures, he helped out because he knows how important Pastiche.today is to me. I have also been lucky to shoot with Marcus Bloss and I cannot wait to show you what we have created together. So while everyone else is writing about Fashion Week, I am going to show you some awesome beach photographs and write a unique Kauai Travel Guide!

ZAFUL SWIMWEAR:

Today I am showing you my photographs in this absolutely stunning swimsuit from ZAFUL. This one-piece is very intricate and beautiful, and is so perfect for honeymooning. I have been so impressed by the quality of Zaful items and their wide range of clothes and swimwear that I just have to share a little list of my favourites from the shop at the end of this post (along with coupon codes!). Girls, I really do highly recommend this online store!

Week 18: Summer in NYC. Wearing 'Rosegal' in Bryant Park.

It's the last two weeks of August and I’ve decided to have a 'Summer in NYC'  theme on the blog. I usually have pretty specific themes on Pastiche.Today, inspired by iconic films or glamorous actresses, but this week I am going to share my more casual everyday looks, write about my life in The Big Apple (including what it is like to live in hotels full time!), and share tips on what to see and what to do in one of the greatest cities in the world.

Everyone knows how gorgeous Central Park is, but there are over 1,700 parks and playgrounds across the five boroughs of New York City. One of my favourites to visit is Bryant Park. The park itself is not big, but it has a lot to offer: free yoga classes, jazz concerts, poetry readings and much more. I especially love that you can play board games for absolutely FREE in the park. Ben and I played the Game of Life last time we were there. Yes, the board games are often not in the best condition, but it is still amazing that you can come and have a great time playing with your friends.

I wore this pretty Rosegal off-the-shoulder top with white J.Crew shorts to the park to meet up with my friend Agnes, who also took these photos of me (thank you, girl!). This is my first package from Rosegal, but I am pleasantly surprised by how good quality the clothes are, considering they are AMAZINGLY affordable.

There is the gorgeous Bryant Park Cafe and Grill in the park, but my friend Agnes and I decided to try the celebrated Mille Crêpes at Lady M. The cafe is very minimal in decor, but has an decadent dessert menu. We ordered the Green Tea Mille Crêpes and Coconut Mille Crêpes. To be honest, I think the idea of the crêpes-cake sounds much more delicious than it actually tastes. We both felt that the cakes were too sweet, and even though I loved the first few bites of my cake, I couldn't even finish half of it!

I think I might have to return to the Lady M soon to try their other desserts because they all looked so mouthwatering.

check back all week to see my other casual summer outfits and read about my personal NYC experiences!

Week 14: Park City. Zara Dress, Sunflowers and the White Barn

Today I am sharing a perfect summertime look with you that was shot next to the famous White Barn in Park City. I bought this dress and hat from Zara a few weeks ago (how amazing is their new summer collection?!) and I think they go together perfectly. Hats have become my new obsession and I have purchased at least 6 new headpieces in the last two months, so be prepared to see much more new looks with hats soon :)

Week 14: Park City. 4th of July Wild West Outfit!

Happy 4th of July!

Since July 4th is one of the most beloved US holidays, I have decided to dedicate this week to a very traditional, beautiful American town: Park City, Utah.

My husband spent a number of his teenage years in Park City (before living in Amsterdam and London) and his parents still live in there, hence, we visit Utah very often. I have grown to love this beautiful ski resort town with its magnificent, picturesque mountains, breathtaking sunsets and colourful, neat houses.

This week I am going to share a bit of Park City's history, my favourite places to visit (both in summer and winter), the best restaurants, and of course a few outfit photoshoots taken in this incredibly photogenic city.

This is my third 4th of July in the US. I celebrated the first one in 2014 in in NYC. Last year Ben organised a very romantic surprise getaway to Disneyworld in Florida (it was our first roadtrip!). The July 4th fireworks in Disneyworld were amazing and we made so many happy memories. And this year I am spending the 4th of July in Park City, where they hold a beautiful parade every year. I will add photos from today's celebration later!

The outfit I have posted below is not the traditional red, white, and blue you might have expected, but it has a Wild West feel to it which I love. I think the Stetson really suits me, what do you think? :)

My Outfit:

Stetson Cowboy Hat, White off the shoulder top (similar here and here), Denim shorts (similar here and here), Adidas sneakers.

Week 11: Instagram Babe. New York When It Sizzles

Two piece dress is one of the biggest style trends seen on Insta-models and seems like it is not going to disappear out of our fashion radars any time soon. I have quite a few two piece dresses myself, that I love wearing for a night out with girls or a special date with my husband.

To be honest with you, I feel much more comfortable wearing such tight sexy clothing in Miami or LA. I certainly attracted too much attention shooting this bright turquoise dress on the streets of New York City. Oh well, I am just preparing everyone for a very HOT summer.

Had to get rid of so many nice photos just because some creepy people lurking on the background. Funny!
