Theme 44: BEST SWIMWEAR. Ouisisi via Amazon

Hello dear readers, casual Google searchers and my loyal INSTAFAM, I am kicking off this season with a plan to redesign my entire website and writing more (for the blog and for my novels). There will be some exciting changes. Just wanted to share this with you before I get to our delicious new theme! BEST SWIMWEAR!

Summer 2019 is officially in full swing, and many of us are frantically looking for new bikinis and one-pieces. Let’s be honest, social media has RUINED us and our wardrobes in a way. Have you posted a bikini from your last Mexico vacation on Instagram? Well, for the next destination, even if it is just a quick beach escape to Hamptons, you will probably want to get a brand new piece to pose, I mean, tan and swim in. Because wearing the same bikini few beach photos in a row is almost as bad as wearing the same gown to two weddings (and having pictures to prove the “horrid” fact!).

While you are allowed to splurge once in a while on some designer swimwear, it really is so much better finding a gorgeous quality piece for a very very affordable price. I recently discovered OUISISI brand on Amazon, and decided to try this classy elegant black&white one-piece.

It arrived super quickly as it is on Amazon Prime. I loved how it looked as a top worn with jeans and as a swimsuit.

This swimsuit has a very classic, almost glamorous look to it, but it is also perfect as an athletic swim as it has a very decent coverage, and is very comfortable. I am not going to lie, a lot of my swimsuits usually have MUCH less coverage and I am often afraid to accidentally flash someone whenever I wear my “risky pieces”. There is no such problem with this OUISISI swimsuit, and you can be confident that it will make you stand out on the beach without having to show a lot of skin!

I was actually really happy to discover that OUISISI also has the cutest maternity swimsuits! I know a lot of my readers are young mums or mums-to-be and it feels good to be able to share something that is so cheap and great and worthy to be discovered!

Theme 8: California Diary. Loews Hollywood Hotel Review

"There's something in the air in Hollywood"

As every self-respecting blogger who is trying hard to fit in, every April I attend Coachella festival with Ben, who from a highly ranked financial consultant transforms into my full time photographer during our trips. The festival is actually our favorite excuse to stay in Los Angeles and explore the city more (aka looking for the most instagrammable places). One of the hotels we stayed at during our annual 'Californication', was Loews Hollywood Hotel.

Located in the heart of Hollywood - literally just next to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Dolby Theater that is best known as Oscars location since 2002, Loews Hollywood Hotel is a dreamy and tasteful choice of accommodation for every traveler that wants to be close to the La La Land world.

The Hills! The Hollywood sign! The Theaters! Do I even need to say more?!

Waking up to the world famous Hollywood sign is definitely a very cliche thing that HAS TO BE on your bucket list, and Loews Hollywood can make that dream come true! Apart from having the A-list view, the hotel room we had was beautiful, spacious and comfortable, and had a bunch of informative magazines and books that helped to plan our city walks.

As Ben and I used to live in hotels full time, we have an eye for details and pay a very close attention to how a hotel's staff treats their guests. We were very impressed by how clean and equipped was the room, and how INCREDIBLY friendly and respectful every member of the Loews Hollywood family was. It is mind blowing how many luxury hotels nowadays have problems with their staff. W Hotel in Dubai was a great hotel, but had the worst valet service ever; St. Regis Kauai staff couldn't remember our names after two weeks of us staying there and were not attentive at all. We not only had zero issues with Loews Hollywood Hotel, but we actually had one of the best valet experiences in the last few years. It might seem like a small detail, but small things do really matter!

There are a lot of great amenities at the hotel, including a well-equipped gym, but me and my friend Vivien, who joined Ben and I on this trip, fell in love with the pool and hanged out there more than we initially planned. The view at the pool area make me geek out to this day as it a little bit reminds me of Ancient Assyrian wall reliefs. And any historical reference and a unique photo spot ranks high in my book.

I honestly think it is one of the most Instagrammable and just photogenic in general, pools in Los Angeles!

If you are hungry, Loews Hollywood offers a great variety of dining options, including a lovely American restaurant Preston's and a fun, filled with beautiful people, H2 Kitchen & Bar. It is not a secret that the breakfast buffet is one of my favorite parts of the staying at hotels (oh c'mon, we all can appreciate a variety of pastries and 10 types of cheeses on a plate to choose from!), and Loews Hollywood has an excellent one. I am getting hungry now by just thinking of that freshly made omelette and a bowl of fruits, soaked in honey :)

Another thing to mention and that is, I am sure, important for many of you, is the pricing point. For the service, location and the comfort you can't beat Loews Hollywood prices (less than $300 a night). The hotel is modern, chic and upbeat, but is family friendly and offers a calm retreat to the adventurers in the middle of the Hollywood's delicious madness!

Week 19: Honeymoon in Hawaii. Beach Babe in Black.

Today I am sharing another Hawaiian beach look that was shot in the cute town of Hanalei. I found this black fringed swimsuit on the Sheinside online store and was so excited to wear it!

This swimsuit definitely attracted a lot of attention and stole the show. I would advise buying a double-sided tape to keep the top in place especially if you plan to dance or move around town in this swimsuit, or else you might run therisk of flashing your boobage :) Luckily, I had tape in my purse for this kind of revealing top or bodysuit. So don't be shy, and grab your sexy swimsuit from Sheinside (they deliver worldwide and often for free!).

After our beach photoshoot Ben and I went to Wishing Well Shave Ice  in Hanalei and I got their famous Rainbow Shave Ice that is so perfect for Instagram photos (and it's delicious of course!). Can you believe that what I am holding is a KID'S PORTION?! The normal one was the size of my head! So if you have a sweet tooth and you are in Kauai, check this place out.

Week 19: Hawaii. Aloha, Beaches! Zaful Swimwear Review.

Dear readers, I apologise for not updating Pastiche.Today this past week. I am currently on my vacation the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii and I am predictably busy :)

I will try to keep you updated on Instagram, but I am very excited to finally share my swimwear photoshoots and travel tips on the blog. Ben is a really wonderful and supporting man and even though he doesn't always enjoy taking pictures, he helped out because he knows how important Pastiche.today is to me. I have also been lucky to shoot with Marcus Bloss and I cannot wait to show you what we have created together. So while everyone else is writing about Fashion Week, I am going to show you some awesome beach photographs and write a unique Kauai Travel Guide!
