Week 8: California Diary. Coachella Vibes

Since Coachella took over my Instagram feed and favourite bloggers' pages this month, I decided to share the best affordable festival-ready clothes you can find in stores right now.

Ben and I were planning to go to Coachella this year, however my husband was travelling to Dubai for a golf tournament and then he was back to work in New York, so we had to leave the festival experience until next year.

If you, like me, haven't been able to go to Coachella, treat yourself with some beautiful summer pieces that will make you want to throw your own party!

COACHELLA 2016 BEST OUTFITS AND TRENDS

Sheer maxi Dresses 

Seen all over Coachella, worn by blogging beauties and young celebrities, maxi see-through and peek-a-boo lace dresses are one of the biggest trends of summer 2016. They are sexy without being trashy, sophisticated and effortlessly cool. 

Off-the-shoulder tops

Off-the-shoulder tops are definitely one of my latest fashion crazes. I love them all: cropped neutral coloured, intricately embroidered and laced ones.

Lace up High Boots or Sandals

I already jumped on this bandwagon and purchased a pair of Daisy Street Lace Up Boots from Asos. Those boots will sex up any outfit regardless if you are in a tight suede dress or just wearing shorts and a white t-shirt.

Week 7: Breakfast at Tiffany's. SHOP Audrey's Looks

This Week's Themed Shop is not only a selection of Breakfast at Tiffany's inspired items, but an exciting look at all of Audrey Hepburn's outfits in the film! I have searched and hand-picked pieces similar to Holly Golightly's clothes and accessories for every budget from hundreds of brands. Seize this chance to emulate the most stylish Hollywood icon of all time!

Look 1. The Black Gown

This is the most iconic look of the film. You can already see my interpretation of this look here.

One shoulder dresses can look very sophisticated, especially when paired with big earrings and worn with a neat updo.

I’ll tell you a little secret: I am going to be sharing my own recreation of this gorgeous look with you all soon, so stay tuned! Pink can be a very difficult colour to wear, but a lady in all-pink-everything will definitely turn heads! Just leave the pink tiara at home, please. Only Audrey could pull that off.

Week 6: Marie Antoinette. My French Queen Inspired Look

Every week when I am creating new pastiches or looks inspired by famous historical figures, I wonder how to make them recognisable, yet not too costume-y. I wanted my Marie Antoinette look to be beautiful, memorable, but still wearable.

I opted for this beautiful Diana gown from Lurelly with pastel embroidered flowers and some fancy jewellery, including my matching ring and a bracelet with amethysts. I was thinking of trying Marie's iconic pouf hair with baby powder sprinkled all over my brown hair, but decided to keep the look more XXI-st century appropriate :)
